Tyne Cot:

Tyne Cot contains the graves of almost 12,000 Commonwealth soldiers, making it the largest number of burials of any Commonwealth cemetery. The cemetery contains the remains of soldiers killed from October 1914 to September 1918. On the panels at the back of the cemetery are the names of 34,984 officers and men who have no known grave.

The memorial at the centre of the cemetery is built on top of a German blockhouse.
